“We rapidly established a new SEO strategy that grew organic clicks by 25% and conversions by 50%”
Whalesync client Ajust powers a customer resolutions platform in Australia. When a consumer has a bad experience with a business, they can use Ajust to tell their story in a quick and easy way. Ajust then contacts the business, such as banks, energy companies, and telecommuications providers, with everything they need to resolve the customer’s issue.
In order to capture traffic from customers querying for “{business name} + complaint,” the Ajust team wanted to publish a page for every business in their database on their Webflow site. The team was already using Airtable as their internal tool for managing workflows and storing complaint records for each business. They wanted to convert this treasure trove of data into public-facing webpages to drive more organic conversions, and have more customers use Ajust to resolve complaints with their service providers. To achieve this, the team did not want to manually duplicate Airtable data to create and maintain each business page in Webflow, which would be a massive headache to maintain over time.
It was then that the Ajust team found Whalesync to power the mass creation of these pages as a programmatic SEO (pSEO) strategy for its resolutions product.
The Ajust team set up two different syncs within Whalesync:
1. A one-way sync between two Airtable bases. This sync:
- Protects their main Airtable base as the single source of truth for all operations, and
- Enables Ajust to select which fields from the main Airtable base should be synced to Webflow. For example, an important consideration was to never sync any personal information, which may exist in their main Airtable base, but not in the one connected to Webflow for website and content marketing purposes.
2. A two-way sync between the content marketing Airtable base and their Webflow instance.
Ajust has a page template in Webflow that consumes the data from Airtable that they’re keeping in sync to generate over 70 business pages today, with more being added each week.
“If we didn’t have Whalesync, I think we’d need a software developer to achieve the same outcomes. At that time, Ajust didn’t have an engineer onboard - so we would have been blocked or had to change our plans for the business pages and our SEO strategy more generally.” - Tom Kaldor, founder, Ajust
So, how have Ajust’s pSEO pages performed since launch?
Since launching these programmatic SEO pages, Ajust has achieved the following results:
- Ranking on the first page of Google’s results for key search terms within one month of the initial business-specific pages launching,
- Growing organic clicks by 25% in the last 30 days now that these pages have been indexed and are receiving traffic, and
- Increasing organic conversions, i.e. complaint submissions, by >50% last month, a sizable percentage of which is directly attributable to traffic coming from these business-specific pages.
But, in addition to this impressive lift, Ajust’s Whalesync integration has enabled the team to launch more dynamic, data-driven interactions and page components in Webflow. For example:
- A business scorecard widget that displays up-to-date metrics about how businesses perform with complaints, and
- A live feed showing new complaints each day in a ticker-style format.
All of this is powered by 2-way syncing Airtable - Ajust’s structured data store containing all of the data around resolving complaints for consumers and businesses - and Webflow to power organic traffic campaigns.
Now, Ajust can add pages for new businesses in minutes - just by adding a new Airtable record and letting Whalesync’s data syncing technology take care of the rest.
