How to export Wix CMS content

Wix is a great platform for building and managing websites. But if you ever need to move your data elsewhere, maybe to migrate content, view all your content it in a spreadsheet, chances are you’ll need to export your Wix CMS content. 

There are two main ways to export your Wix CMS content:

1. Manually, directly from your Wix dashboard.
2. Automatically, using Whalesync to sync your data to Google Sheets, Airtable, or another connected platform.

Option 1: Export manually from your Wix dashboard (Wix Studio)

You can export blog posts, CMS collections, and product data as a CSV file directly from Wix.

Here’s how:

Go to your Wix Studio

Log in and open the site that contains the CMS content you want to export.

From the left-hand menu, go to CMS → Collections and select the collection you’d like to export (for example, “Blog Posts,” “Products,” or any custom dataset).At the top right of the collection, click the ⋯ (More Actions) menu.

Select Export to CSV

Choose Export to CSV. Wix will generate a CSV file containing all your records.

Download your CSV file. Once complete, the CSV will automatically download to your computer. 

Option 2: Export Wix CMS automatically using Whalesync

FAQs

Can I export all of my Wix website data at once?

Not exactly. Wix currently only supports exporting CMS collections (like blog posts or products) as CSV files. Design elements and static pages can’t be exported directly.
